During the fall of 2014 I took my first solo international trip, visiting Iceland, London, Belgium, and Amsterdam. My itinerary included art museums and spending hours exploring cities on foot. My favorite photo of the trip captures a post-shower afternoon in Reykjavik, Iceland. To get the perfect shot, I ran across one of Iceland's busiest highways to reach the shoreline. Inspired by my experiences making panoramas using 3D modeling, I wanted to capture the all-encompassing light and beauty of the shoreline.

In 2015, my photo was selected for the Smithsonian Institution's Artists at Work exhibition. This juried show, the Smithsonian Community Committees’ fourth pan-Institutional art exhibition, reveals the often hidden talents within the Smithsonian community. A panel of three outside jurors selected 56 artists from 23 different units and more than 170 entries. The exhibition was displayed in the Ripley Center.
